Mia Shawn

Presently Mia is living and writing while living full-time upon this little Island of Key West. Her poetry, written in and about Key West, proclaims the very muse of the Island, and celebrates Her literary treasures!  Writing poetry and stories since childhood, Mia’s own muse was nascent by necessity in early adulthood.  Now it sings skyward as it embraces the Arts of this little Island!  

First published in the regional publication for the Keys, “DECIMOS”; stage actor and radio productions with FRINGE THEATRE KEY WEST; member of both the Key West Writers Guild and Key West Poetry Guild; member and active with the Key West National Organization for Women; and more. The first publication of Mia’s poetry in any book was in the Key West Writers Guild 2023 Anthology, More Words From The End Of The Road, written in and celebrating, Key West. It is only the beginning for Mia!
