Linda Moore

Linda grew up in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. While pursuing a degree in journalism and public relations at the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee, Linda wrote news and feature stories for the student newspaper and the faculty newsletter. Upon graduation, she honed her talents as a public relations specialist writing and designing company newsletters and annual reports. As a freelance journalist she was published in the Milwaukee Journal and the Business Journal, and she also wrote position papers for politicians in the Wisconsin State Capitol. A career shift changed the focus of Linda’s writing from a journalistic bent to writing technical training manuals and software programs.

In 2008, Linda left the corporate world to live and travel the Caribbean on a 50-foot sailboat. Along with her husband, she writes the Sailing Troubadour blog. She has also been published in the American Tarot Association quarterly magazine (2014) and Southwinds Magazine.

In addition to her blog, Linda’s short stories, "The Chain Saw and the Cherry Tree", "Stories from the Boundless Project" and "Fallen" have been featured on Short Fiction Break. Her blog, Sailing Troubadour has nearly 1,000 views each month.

Her short story, “Poinciana’s Tears,” was published in 2022 in the Key West Writers Guild anthology, More Words from the End of the Road.

Linda is working on a memoir about her sailing life. She currently lives at Boca Chica Key Marina, Naval Air Station Key West.
