I created and finished this work in the first half of 2020, and it took me quite a long time to complete this big guy, while the world was deeply in the trouble and terrify of Covid -19. People are required to be in quarantine in their own space, it's reported that the viruses spread in the air and could stay on everywhere.

This big head mask has two symbolic meanings in my design concept:

At first, it is a mask, so you can wear it on your head, and it can completely cover your head. In the century of virus spreading, people need to be protected their nose, mouth, and eyes from the potential virus in the air by this kind of mask. It's sad that people might have to use this kind of mask for quite a long time, however, the mask can not only set segregation for us from the air (with the virus, and also with oxygen,) but also will separate people from each other, because people can not see the smiley faces behind the masks.

Second, when I finished my work, my parents liked it very much. They said it is a door god to protect family health from viruses. Look at its black mouth and veined face, that means it has eaten a lot of viruses and it is a very dedicated guard.

So I named it "Night King". It's the king of protecting guard for people in the dark night of virus spreading; it will also be the king of people's life because everybody needs a mask.
