Through time, technologies have become a part of our daily lives. Wherever we go and whatever we do, we are constantly surrounded by technology and it is undeniable that we as humans have completely surrendered ourselves to it. This piece represents the idea of us as humans being addicted to technology to a point where it almost seems like technology itself is a drug. The paint in the background symbolizes our mind when engaging with technology, jumbled, psychedelic, and exciting, but at the same time trapping us and forcing us to rely on it, similar to the three figures in the bottom right-hand corner of the piece. This piece was inspired by my own observations based on the people around me as well as the environment surrounding me. I realized that technology is evidence of how time has improved yet, it is also something we sacrificed ourselves and our minds for, which is why I wanted to incorporate that concept in my art.
