All of these similar kinds of experiences during my growing up make me realized that what others considered "normal" might not work for me, so why not choose art as my way of communicating? In my opinion, creativity and innovation is another critical way of communication that channels outside of language. It brings me comfort as we exchange ideas and messages through different forms of visuals and design, and I believe that it is the most accurate way of expression for me.

Besides I like drawing and painting since I was a little kid, I like almost every kind of visual art subject, such as illustration design, comics, sculpture, clay and pottery crafts, mixed media art, photography, and fashion design. They made me realize art and design came in all shapes and forms, and that there are endless opportunities and potentials. Among these so many more majors, I think illustration design, fashion design, and painting would be my potential focus subjects.

At the moment when I finish each of my artwork, I also want others to experience the passion and excitement I was feeling, and I realized that this is the reaction I want people to have when looking at my artwork. I want to pursue my ideal dream to be a great designer and artist in the future.

My name Junzhu means bamboo, and my nickname is Yueliang which means moon, so my pseudonym is BambooMoon.

I still remember my first drawing vividly. It was during a midsummer afternoon. Back then, I was less than three years old. I woke up from a nap and sat in front of the coffee table. There were a black marker and a few napkins on the table. I grabbed the marker and napkins and began to doodle, creating my first piece of drawing. My parents were thrilled after seeing the drawing. My nickname at home is also "moon." They understood that I was trying to communicate with them through the drawing despite lacking vocabulary. This drawing on a napkin became the start of my journey as both an artist and designer.

Growing up, I remained as the quiet kid in class as I was shy and not very vocal. I was not quite good with words and did not like writing long essays either. I struggled to express myself through ways that others deemed "normal," which often worried me. However, when I get worried or pressed, I always think back to my first ever drawing and the purpose it served.

I also remembered that night before the date of my final math exam when I was in 7th grade: I couldn't sleep after I reviewed math lessons because math is not the subject I was good at, and my teacher told us the final exam would be supposed not easy. I began to paint a new work and finished after an hour. I painted a Red Balloon with a very thin line floating in the green heavy clouds. After I finished this work, I fell asleep very quickly.
