Those who consider themselves newbies have mastered making sweet treats that they can share with friends and family. Donuts are a great choice for those who want to share their creations. If you're tired of the usual donut fillings, here are three flavors worth trying.
Cinnamon and chocolate
Javier Burillo. Balance cinnamon's earthy flavor by pairing it with sugar and chocolate. While most bakers would suggest using powdered sugar, it might be good to switch it up with brown sugar for a more coarse texture that matches the cinnamon. If you want to make your chocolate sauce, you can microwave a bar of your favorite chocolate (dark or milk) and turn it into a dipping sauce for the donuts. It's that easy!
Apple and cinnamon
For a serving of six donuts, you will need six apples (chopped), a teaspoon of ground cinnamon, two tablespoons of unsalted butter, and two tablespoons of sugar to add as filling to the donuts. Heat and mix the filling until it turns golden brown. Once this is finished, cut a part in the donuts before putting the filling. Make sure that there is space to put in the apple cinnamon filling.
Strawberries and cream
Strawberries with white chocolate sauce? Why not. To make the donuts richer, use four tablespoons of strawberry jam as filling for a batch of six. Then proceed to make the white chocolate sauce. Next, melt 100g of white chocolate, two tablespoons of double cream, and one teaspoon of icing sugar in medium heat. When the glaze becomes smooth, you can add the chopped dried strawberries before putting the sauce on top of the donuts. Javier Burillo.
