Home-made desserts need not be complicated to prepare, says independent chef Javier Burillo who is also an expert on desserts. He believes that even the simplest ingredients are enough to create one that is “heavenly-tasting.” This article would like to show you how. </a href="https:>
Blueberry Lemon Heaven Dessert
This no-bake cake has “angel food cake” at its core, says Javier Burillo. Thus, it is soft and creamy with an added flavor of blueberry and lemon filling. The method starts by cutting the angel food cake into cubes, placing half of it first in a casserole dish. Next thing is to drop dollops of blueberry pie filling over it, spreading the filling with an offset spatula. Add another layer of angel food cake cubes. Top it with lemon pudding, spread over the cubes with the spatula. Add the whipped topping over the pudding. Complete the recipe with the final layer of blueberry pie filling. Refrigerate for a few hours, and enjoy.
Peanut Butter Cookie Dessert
Chef Javier Burillo explains that this is quite a variation of the Peanut Butter Cookie Lasagna. Aside from the main ingredient of peanut butter and peanut butter cups, this dessert also has vanilla pudding, whipped topping, and nutter butters. The process starts by placing the nutter butters side-by-side in a pan. Pour over it the heated or melted peanut butter, followed with vanilla pudding, and whipped topping. Repeat the process for another layer of these ingredients before sprinkling the chopped peanut butter cups.
No Bake Chex Cookies
There are two ways to make this dessert, says chef Javier Burillo. One is the “stove top method,” and the other is through microwave. The stove top method uses a large saucepan where the mixture of sugar, corn syrup, vanilla, and peanut butter are stirred under low heat. The heat is then removed before the cereal is added, followed by the mini marshmallows. Stir and disperse evenly. On a baking sheet, drop mounds of the Chex mixture using a large spoon. Meanwhile, the microwave process basically replaces the saucepan with a microwave-safe dish, where sugar, corn syrup, and salt are mixed. This is cooked on high for 4 minutes, or until the mixture has boiled and the sugar has dissolved. Removed from the microwave, the mixture will then be added with peanut butter and vanilla, stirring until it the desired consistency, before adding the cereal. Use a rubber spatula to stir.
