What better screams dessert than ice cream? Ice cream has always been a staple dessert everywhere you go. With many different variations, from common soft serves to fancy gelatos, ice cream is loved by everyone, everywhere. Today, Javier Burillo shares a 3-ingredient recipe for quick and easy cookies and cream ice cream.
First, gather your ingredients. You’ll only need Oreo cookies, heavy cream or whipped cream, and condensed milk. After collecting the ingredients, separate the Oreos into cookies and the cream filling. Next, put most of the cookies into a plastic bag, making sure to let all the air out from the bag. Then, crush the cookies, preferably using a rolling pin, into crumbs. Afterward, in a bowl, combine the crumbs and the condensed milk. Set it aside for now in a refrigerator. Javier Burillo notes that heavy cream will be better than store-bought whipped cream. If you do have heavy cream, in a large bowl, whip your heavy cream until stiff peaks form, turning it into homemade whipped cream. Then, take out your cookie mix and fold it into the whipped cream. Transfer the mixture into your container of choice, preferably a deep baking dish. Lastly, top with the remaining cookies, crumbs, and some more cream. Refrigerate for four hours and enjoy!
This recipe is so easy. Anyone can make it! Javier Burillo suggests that you experiment with different flavors, and if you have a kid, it can always turn into a fun family activity! Now with your newfound recipe, make yourself something sweet to accompany you through these challenging times.
