There will be 7 boxes within the court, each with a clan symbol on. These boxes are OOC and will contain starting information and resources for characters. These boxes will be available an hour before the event starts so players can be ready for time in. These boxes should not be used to store IC items and if any are found in there, they will be taken out.
The Imperial box is the exception, storing player queries or spent resources. If players have a request or a question for a referee or game team member that doesn’t need responding within the respite period, then they can place a Short Term Request Form in the box with their name and query on - templates will be provided. At the end of each respite, the game team will review the contents and will return to the players with a response.
Cache boxes may be present within the game environment. These boxes will be marked with a list of skills, advantages, or other character traits. If a character possesses one or more of these traits, or they are using the Innate Understanding advantage, they may open the box and read the information stored in it. Once they have done this, they should replace the contents and put the box back where they found it. Otherwise, they should treat the box as though it were not present in the game environment.
Please notify a referee if a box has been damaged.
Some items may be locked. These are marked with knotted red cord, with the number of knots showing what level of the Scoundrel skill is required to open it.
Some items may not have a powerful enough enchantment to require a power card, but may still be mystical in nature. These items will have red ribbons tied to them, which are OOC and characters are unable to see the ribbon. Players who use abilities such as the second level of the skill Investigation, or the Sense Magic spell, can identify these items as mystical.
Some items are invisible, undetectable, or OOC and will have yellow ribbons tied to them. Characters should treat them as though they were not present in the game environment. For example, the Hand to Hand weapon proficiency allows characters to fight IC without weapons, but this is done OOC by using short weapons with yellow ribbons to represent their fists.
