Congratulations to the Technology Student Association teams from Ithaca High School and DeWitt Middle School for their stellar performances at the National TSA Conference earlier this month in Orlando, Florida. The Ithaca students were competing against nearly 6,000 other students in over 60 events, and placed in the top 10 overall in 7 events, including 1st and 3rd places at the high school level and a 2nd place at the middle school level.

From Ithaca High, Sophia Shi cleaned up, winning 1st place in the nation in Promotional Graphics and 3rd in Essays on Technology, and participating in the System Control Technology team that took 5th overall (with Zak Stillman and Tiffany Zheng).

Four teams from DeWitt placed in the top 10 in the nation, with the highest ranking going to Fiona Okuma and Freya Ryd for their 2nd place in the Techno Talk competition. The Construction Challenge team of Marvin Yang, Felix Shi, Zack Zhang, Rotem Leshed, Pius Gami, Vaynu Kadiyali (a number of whom are 6th graders!) took 4th overall, and the Tech Bowl team of Tristan Engst, Jacob Silcoff, and Eli Zhang took 6th, as did the System Control Technology team of Jacob Silcoff, Paul Fisher-York, and Felix Shi.
