Participants learn about the significance of the tipi to Blackfoot and Cree people. Tipi’s were not just homes, they held a lot of significance about how to live one's life with values. Tipi’s would be unique to different families. Even today, there are rules and protocols for entering and being in a tipi. Participants will leave with knowledge of how to enter and be in a tipi and the importance of the sacredness of the teachings. In the first half of this session, participants will learn about the significance of the tipi. In the second half of the session, participants get to set up a tipi with their group.
