The Western Wall

The Western Wall, also known as The Wailing Wall, is a 187 foot exposed section of the retaining wall that makes up the Temple Mount.  The wall is considered by Orthodox Jews to be the holiest place where Jews are permitted to pray outside the previous Temple Mount platform.
