Travel Tip: The Giza Pyramids can be seen on an approach, from the southwest, to Cairo International Airport. Arriving daylight flights often bank over the Nile. If you sit on the left-hand side of the plane, and if the air is clear, you'll catch an ariel pyramids' view. Have your camera ready!

MOSES
1 Kings 6:1 Now it came about in the four hundred and eightieth year after the sons of Israel came out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon’s reign over Israel, in the month of Ziv, that is, the second month, that he began to build the house of the LORD.
"In the fourth year of Solomon's reign" is a well established date that can be collaborated with extra-biblical evidence to have occurred about 970 BC. If you do the math and subtract 480 years, it can be concluded that the Exodus occurred around 1446/7 BC, or early in the second half of the 15th century BC.
According to 15th century Egyptian history, the Pharoahs who ruled were of the 18th Dynasty. The Pharoah ruling in 1446/7 at the time of the Exodus would have been Amenhotep II. The Bible also says that Moses was 80 years old when he returned to Egypt during his stay in Midian. (Ex 7:7; Acts 7:30). Again, doing the math, it can be calculated that Moses was born around 1526 BC during the reign of Thutmosis I.
The Birth of Moses (Exodus 2:1-10)
We have established that Thutmosis I was Pharoah when Moses was born. The biblical account of Moses' birth in Exodus 2 says that he was found in a reed basket along the Nile by "Pharaoh's daughter". Egyptian history tells us that Thutmosis I daughter would have been Hatshepsut, and would have been no older than 6 or 7 when Moses was born. There is much Egyptian history about Hatshepsut because she grew to become the fifth Pharaoh of the 18th Dynasty of Egypt, ruling from 1479 BC until 1458 BC.
Hatshepsut (the daughter of Pharoah who found Moses): Upon the death of her husband and half-brother Thutmose II, she ruled initially as regent to her stepson Thutmose III, who inherited the throne at the age of two. Several years into her regency, Hatshepsut assumed the position of pharaoh and adopted the full royal titulary, making her a co-ruler alongside Thutmose III. In order to establish herself in the Egyptian patriarchy, she took on traditionally male roles and was depicted as a male pharaoh, with physically masculine traits and traditionally male garb. Hatshepsut's reign was a period of great prosperity and general peace. One of the most prolific builders in Ancient Egypt, she oversaw large-scale construction projects such as the Karnak Temple Complex, the Red Chapel, the Speos Artemidos and most famously, the Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hatshepsut
