We all know what significance Independence Day holds for us and it is even more special for all of us here in IIT Jammu. We had our very first event organized on the occasion of Independence Day.

The event started with the flag hosting by Prof. D. K. Pandya and other Army officials.

Later on students showed their love towards our country by dedicating some brilliant performances to the martyrs and freedom fighters of our country. The event included a Drama showing the struggle of our freedom fighters against the British East India Company. It was followed by an inspiring dance performance dedicated to our country and martyrs. The event ended with a short speech by our Professors.

The event was extremely successful considering that event occurred within 10 days of the start of our college. It was the first time the students came together to exhibit their talents.
