Diwali

The IIT Jammu first batch family initiated a move to celebrate campus Eco-diwali on 30th October , 2016. Students offered aarti along with Prof D.K. Pandya. They showed great passion and zeal while decorating, diya lightening all over the campus and rangoli making. Its unlikely for students to mop their rooms on their own, but on that day a miracle occured and the spirit of cleaning our belongings prevailed; may be in a hope of a good academic grade or a prosperous life ahead!!

This auspicious occasion is celebrated by Hindus, Jains, and Sikhs and Newar Buddhists to mark different historical events, stories but they all symbolise the victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, good over evil, hope over despair.
