Example Student Portfolio

Keeping a student portfolio will help you manage your learning. You can use this space to collect all your major assignments, make notes on the topics we cover in class, set goals, and reflect on feedback.

The Writer's Toolbox

This might be the most important resource you will use this year. It is a website that contains videos, explanations and other resources to help you develop as a writer of literary analysis.

Learning Tools 

Clicking the image will take you to another page with a library of resources designed to help you manage your learning. Take a look at the different tools and add some to your English portfolio. I suggest using the vocabulary builder. It has helped me a lot as a student, and I'm sure it could help you too. 

Command Terms

Learning to decode a question so that you understand what it requires of you is an essential skill. Click the image to access a list of command terms and become familiar of the types of thinking each one asks of you. It might be a good idea to review this document when you're planning projects.
