Paper 2 is a platform that allows you to demonstrate some of the key skills developed in your English classroom, including:
The ability to interpret and analyze literary texts
The ability to analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of authorial choices in the construction of meaning
The ability to make connections between multiple texts
The ability to clearly, coherently and logically present your ideas in writing
For Paper 2, students choose one of four prescribed questions and answer it by writing a comparative essay based two works studied in class. All students will have 105 minutes to complete this task. For SL students, Paper 2 will account for 35% of their grade; whereas, for HL students, this paper will make up 25% of their grade.
