Keto Diet

  • The keto diet is a very low-carb, high-fat eating plan. It’s popular among people who follow Paleo and want to further restrict their carb intake. Unlike most low-carb diets, keto restricts carbs to 20 to 50 grams per day. For reference, that’s about 200 to 600 calories of net carbs, or good carbs in dieter speak. The goal of keto (which means ketosis) is to burn fat while maintaining muscle and enjoying a little bit of variety. The best way to do it? Avoid sweetened drinks, don't overdo protein or alcohol consumption, and try to eat mostly whole foods that are within reach at all times in your kitchen!
