We were tasked to create a brand by covering current market trends and consumer demands. including 12-month sales forecasting, developed profitable seasonal merchandise range. formulate merchandising mathematics to substantiate the merchandise dollar plan including styles, price, quantity, materials and colours based on profitability. We also made open to buy (OTB) plans and stock keeping unit (SKU) using Excel. plan opening mechanics and marketing campaign mockups.
I came up with IDYLLIC, a small Hanfu brand dedicated to sharing the rich cultural heritage of traditional Chinese clothing with people of all ages, especially the youth. We aim to bring the joy and elegance of Hanfu to the modern world, allowing the younger generation to experience the beauty and freedom our ancestors cherished. Imagine running around a palace or through town, draped in luxurious garments that evoke a sense of history and tradition. Each piece in our collection is crafted with care, capturing the essence of ancient designs while ensuring comfort and style for today's wearers. With a modern twist, we show that Hanfu can be seamlessly integrated with everyday clothing, offering a unique way to elevate your style. By embracing Hanfu, we hope to reconnect people with their roots and inspire a deeper appreciation for our cultural heritage.

Opening mechanic:
for the grand opening of idyllic, to encourage customers to come and give idyllic a shot, there would be a grand opening sale going on for the first week, a 15% off discount is given with a minimum purchase of $100
there will also be a free photo-taking booth, where customers can get dolled up in their hanfu purchase and get their hair and makeup done by our in-store team and have their photos printed out and also receive a digital copy of their pictures.
Chinese New Year Sale:
cny is our biggest campaign, being the longest event we have as idyllic as a brand is a Chinese traditional clothing brand it only makes sense that cny is our season. Our stores will be decorated for the cny season, and on top of that, we will bring back our signature photo-taking event. This would be the only time when customers have no minimum spend, and they still can enjoy these amenities; they just have to make a single purchase during the cny season. There will also be cny CNY-themed backdrops and settings of the scene that are only available for a limited time. There will also be our in-house red packets that will be given out with every purchase as well, that being a free promotion when people pass the packets out to their relatives during cny. There will also be seasonal cny bags for every purchase. There will also be bundle deals going on for 2 for 3 (cheapest item will be free) for the first week.
Valentine's Day sale:
for valentine’s day, there will be sale on going of 15%off of all purchases only on 14 feb and on top of that there will be gift wrapping services (valentine’s day be a season of gifting so it be nice to help package purchases nicely, even if the purchase is not gifted to others it would be like idyllic is gifting it to the customers). Purchases over $150 will get a free mini flower bouquet, to make every customer know that they have a valentine to spark good customer relations. There will also be seasonal pink bags with each purchase.
Women's Day sale:
For Women’s Day there will be an ongoing store-wide sale of up to 15% off with every purchase. the pink seasonal bag for women’s day.
Fall sale:
for mid-autumn festival we are having a 15%off discount on going and on top of that we will be giving away a free box of mooncakes with minimum spend of $150 to get into the festivity, on top of that we will have our signature photo taking services, with hair and makeup services with the mid-autumn themed background.
Christmas sale:
For the Christmas sale, there will be up to 15% off store-wide, and on top of the sale, there will be our popular photo-taking service with free hair and makeup services upon purchases of a minimum of $150. Due to the festive season, there will be a winter-themed backdrop and scene. There will also be gift wrapping services since it is the season of giving.

Seasonal drop:
There will be a seasonal new launch sale every 1/4 of the year, once in Jan, Apr, Jul. and Oct. for our spring, summer, fall and winter collection. For the first weeks after the new launch there will be a 20% discount. but only for new launch pieces. To encourage customers to buy our new collection for seasonal launches, there will also be a free tassel-making workshop if customers purchase a piece of the new collection.
Loyalty program:
The membership drive happens bi-annually, one in January at the start of the year and another time in July. When customers sign up then, they will be able to enjoy a free gift of an accessory upon registration in this time frame.
This is to encourage customers to sign up for the loyalty program and get their contact information to send them information about upcoming sales and events so they are kept in the loop and want to come down to idyllic. during theses membership drive period, there will also be more traffic in the store, so it's a good opportunity to recruit more loyal customers.
