About a week into our Europe trip, we were in the Netherlands on the farm were my great grandma grew up. This farm had cows. When we helped milk the cows it was fun. In the morning, we ate bread with chocolate sprinkles. I liked that. On our 2nd day in the Netherlands, we went to Kinderdijk. It had lots of windmills. The windmills were used for pumping water out of the area, but now, they use an electric power plant. There was this cool windmill game in which you control your own windmill. That was fun. On our 3rd day, we visited the Canadian War Cemetery. There were some graves where they didn't even know the name of the soldier who died. After the cemetery, we went to an open air museum. There was a lot of farms and our guide talked a lot about those farms. We learned a lot of things, like how in the 1700's the farm house was built out of sticks and mud like a Maasai boma (though the maasai also use cow dung). They also slept sitting up, they did this because they thought that if they laid down a demon would come into their mouths. I like the Netherlands so far and I am pretty sure I will like it even more as we tour around.
