Cologne, Germany

After we visited our friend in Dormund, Germany, we went to Cologne, where "eau de cologne" was invented.
The first place we went in Cologne was the Dom Cathedral. We walked up one of the towers and then we walked up the middle thing. In all, we walked up 509 steps, 97 m in the air!
After the tower, we went in to the treasury of the Dom. There was a crown and a bunch of chalices. There was even an umbrella! There was this wooden box, that contained a pure gold box that supposedly contained the presents that the magi gave to the baby Jesus.
The last thing we did there was to to the Love Lock Bridge. The love lock is a lock you put on something when you get married. You either throw away the key or you break the key in the lock. On the love lock bridge, every square inch of railing is covered with locks.
Cologne was tiring because we had to walk up all those stairs. It was cool to see that whole 413 m long bridge covered in locks. All the gold in the treasury was awesome.
