My top three things with Auntie Kate and Uncle Doug

In February, my Auntie Kate and my Uncle Doug came to visit us. These are some of the things we did with them. We went to the Meserani snake park, Zanzibar, and Kilimanjaro.
When we got to the snake park, we saw and learned about some snakes. For example, we learned about the black mamba, one of the most deadly snakes in the world, the puff adder, and the spitting cobras. After that, we went outside and saw huge crocodiles and little cute baby crocodiles. We also got to hold non-poisonous snakes. Then we went inside, where our guide had just begun feeding the black mamba. Our guide chucked two guinea pigs inside and slammed the back door. The black mamba uncoiled, bit, and paralysed one in midair and then begun the long process of swallowing it. The rest of the snakes got chicks. While we were watching the feeding, we saw that the green mambas had picked off a lot of their chicks. There was only one still swallowing. One of the other green mambas came and bit the one still swallowing really hard on the side of his mouth but the green mamba still managed swallow his chick with the other snake hanging on. Finally, we went out of the enclosure where they kept the reptiles and went to our car to get a snack. While we were having our snack, we saw that there was a camel riding booth. My sister and my mom went first, then my brother and my dad, and after them me and my uncle Doug! My aunt Kate didn't go because she had already ridden on a camel before. Overall, it was a super fun day and we learned a lot.
While we were in Zanzibar, we went snorkeling and saw lots of colorful things. First we saw starfish; our guide brought them up to our boat so that we could hold them. They were so cool! When we got to the snorkeling zone, we got on our gear and went in the water. When I looked underwater, there was so many fish. I swam around trying to catch them. Once, I actually touched one! There was also a lot pretty coral. After the snorkeling, we went to a really big sandbar and there I found my own starfish. While we were snorkeling, we saw lots of cool things.
After we went to Zanzibar, we decided to go to Simba Farms. When we got there, we walked down to the river. Then, I went swimming in the river with my dad. It was very cold. Then, we walked back up to Simba Farms. The next day, we did a fake climb up Kili. We got to Shira 1 camp. Then, we went back to the car. It took 4 hours.
After the fake climb, my uncle Doug came up with the idea of making darts. So, I got a piece of wood and carved it. Then, I got some feathers from the chicken coop. Then, Auntie Kate and I had to nail polish the feathers to the dart. In the end, it all worked out. I also got the dart stuck in some bark. It was super fun doing the fake climb and making the dart.
Going to the snake park, snorkeling, doing the fake climb, and making the dart were all really fun and I learned so much. It was great sharing these experiences with Auntie Kate and Uncle Doug. I hope they had a great time in Tanzania, too, because we sure are.
