Koror and Peleliu States

NEW: Koror Coastal Fisheries Plan and Proposed Bill

Koror (Oreor): Rock Island Southern Lagoon and spatial planning of marine environments

Peleliu (Beliliou): Master/Land Use Planning and land-based sustainable development projects

Koror and Peleliu worked together in late 2020 to develop a joint Lagoon-wide Development Vision. Aspects of this vision, crafted in the spirit of cooperation and partnership, were incorporated into each individual State's Development Vision. Initial efforts to have Koror and Peleliu jointly plan for their resources together were trialed in mid-2020 via the Oreor-Beliliou SEA JCB. Given the different focal areas of the two States (marine versus land), activities of the Oreor-Beliliou SEA JCB were paused indefinitely and each State continues to work separately (Koror on fisheries and Peleliu on land-based tourism).
