Week 4

During this project we got to see the application of the design process.

In our project we decided to improve on an idea of a portable table.

some of the issues covered were:

• Balancing the table on uneven surfaces.

• Gripping of materials on table.

• Having enough space to both eat and use a laptop.

• how to make it lightweight

• how to make it portable

Some of the ideas discussed were:

• incorporating a swivel or slide out cup holder or expansion for the top of the desk

• different ways to adjust and keep the height of the table.

• materials to use to keep it lightweight.
