I was given an assignment by my Media Studies teacher to capture photographs based on a compositional theory we had done in class earlier. These are my raw, unedited shots from a Huawei Y7a 48MP AI Quad Camera, of things I found in my existing environment that fulfilled the requirements for the compositional theories.
Symmetry Rule of Thirds - Patterns and Sequence
Shallow Depth of Field Leading Lines Symmetry- Shallow Depth
Frame in Frame Bird's Eye Angle
The compositional exercise helped us gain an idea of what angles and techniques we can use during photography shoots allowing us to add diversity and a fun twist to otherwise normal images. It was a helpful activity in learning about other aspects of media and how these traditional techniques are used not only in photography but video shoots to add balance. Carrying out this exercise gave us an idea of how to recognise these angles during our media clip analysis.
