Equipment Research

In my opinion, researching the equipment I will be utilizing for this portfolio was highly essential. Not only has delving into the range of products and their respective specifications provided me with the knowledge on what would be useful during the shoot but has also provided me with mild insight on how to operate all the equipment; what would be the best camera to use for close-up and mid shot portrait photography, how I can utilize different forms of lighting and what editing software’s I could make use of to improve and efficiently create my end product. I do however, need to keep in mind that as our school does not provide us with any of this equipment, the quality and type of final equipment used will depend on my budget and creative skills to make use of cheaper products in a high-end kind of way, for example, the use of cellophane paper for coloured lighting.
