I created a colour theory survey to get an idea of what my audience's colour preferences were. The survey covers a range of questions related to colour that will help me choose a final colour palette for my magazine.
In this section, I've asked the basic information regarding gender, age and an important question concerning whether the respondent is colour-blind or not. This will allow me to accurately establish what are the preferred colours by both genders and how much colour blindness can affect preferences in colour.
This section inquires about the respondents' favoured and disliked colours along with reasoning as to why the colours are favoured or disliked. This will allow me to get an idea of what colours to portray within my final magazine and which to stay away from keeping the general public's preferences in mind.
The last section talks about the complex topic of design preferences. I've asked questions like whether softer, bright or dull colours are favoured. I've also inquired about colour schemes like monochromatic or complimentary so I can base my final magazine on the audience's preferred look. My last question about whether colour holds significance in the respondent's life is to see whether the colour affects the human mind and soul or not and whether creating complex colour schemes and harmony has a point or not.
