Sometimes it's nice to just kick back and smell the flowers. Or maybe grow some huh? Gardening is a small, "Mini Activity" which spawned from our Patrols and Hunts. Sometimes, characters may uncover seeds when exploring the world or taking down dangerous monsters. These seeds can be planted and tended to through our Gardening activity in order to obtain some useful items! Any character may feature in a Gardening piece, Lead Stallions or Mares are not required to take part.

As mentioned above, Gardening is more of a Mini Activity as its not as involved as patrols or hunts. It's certainly not nearly as dangerous!! Gardening always consists of one single submission which will result in a yeild of some sort of crop. However here are a few things to keep in mind!
Season matters!
When gardening, players should be aware of the season! Gardening can only be done in Spring, Summer and Fall of our in-game year. Even if you're in the Flame Expanse and have Earth magic, you CAN NOT GARDEN in winter. This is mostly to give us mods a break and give players a chance to gather more seeds for the appropriate season!
It should be noted that Gardening CAN NOT BE BACK DATED! It must be done in the present.
Helpful Magics
Players who have characters with unlocked earth, water or solar magic will find that Gardening comes very naturally to them! When these characters are featured in gardening pieces helping tend to the seeds, plant them or nurture them will find that their harvests are larger than normal.
Maximize your yield
Players are welcome to plant multiple seeds per Gardening image. Say you have some Red Herb seed, a sun plum seed and some raspberry seed. No need to make three gardening images! You can plant all three in a single submission! Players are welcome to separate their gardening pieces if they really want but we don't require it.
Submission Criteria
Submission Criteria
Any Gardening submission, be it drawn or written, should be submitted to the appropriate folder. This would be the Gardening sub-folder either in the literature or artwork main folder.
Gardening submission should meet the following minimum criteria:
Drawn submissions must:
Depict included characters partial to full bodied, in color actively gardening or working with seeds/plants
Appropriate background must depict proper season and biome where your character chooses to plant their seeds
Written submissions must:
Be at least 400 words long per included character to count

Written or Drawn submissions may depict any of the following aspects of Gardening:
Detailing characters choosing where to till their seeds
Characters tending to seeds / budding plants
Characters checking on plants and discussing what they plan to do with the harvest
Characters admiring growing crops
Written or Drawn submissions MAY NOT:
Detail characters harvesting their crop as players do not know the harvest size

Gardening submissions also need to include the following information filed out and listed somewhere in the artist description of the piece.

Planting: List seeds your character(s) are planting
