Elysium strives to be a place of creative freedom and fun! We welcome everyone to join us and let your imagination go wild. To ensure that everyone can enjoy their stay with us, we strongly enforce the following rules.
Be kind and respectful to your fellow members
Treat others the way you would like to be treated. We pride ourselves on our supportive and happy community. We know everyone has a bad day once in awhile but there is never an excuse to be snappy, aggressive, outright rude or a bully. Zero excuses. It doesn't matter who started it, be the mature one and don’t react. Discuss any conflicts sensibly and with patience - the likelihood is there’s just been a misunderstanding and talking about it without reacting hastily is going to solve the issue.
Avoid harassing or spamming another player, even if you’re just excited! It can be overwhelming to be messaged repeatedly about something before you’ve had a chance to reply.
This group is rated PG-13
Elysium is, generally, a place of magic and light but has it's dark patches. While we encourage players to be realistic in their works, we ask that sensitive topics be given a censorship warning. Either a written warning or a DA mature filter should be applied to work exhibiting:
- Extreme gore or violence
- Sensitive topics: Self harm, suicide, etc.
- Excessive cussing
Err on the side of caution. If there’s blood, violence, swearing, abuse or general nastiness, put a filter on it!
Only one account per member
You may only use one account at ElysiumChronicles, as everything will be linked to your DA user name. Please let us know if:
- You update your dA name
- If you share an account with a friend/family member; you share a computer with a friend/family member on a regular basis.
Using multiple accounts to earn extra gems or tame extra horses to the benefit yourself in any way is utterly forbidden. A Perma-Ban will be issued to any user found abusing the system and blacklisted from the group.
All art must be original
The use of references or blocking is acceptable but must be given credit to the original sources. Additionally, all art created for this group must be for this group! No reusing pieces please as we strive to inspire new works of art!
The same goes for literature and written works. Please don't plagiarize!
This includes the tracing, replicating or editing of official group images, references and bases!
Players caught repurposing group assets will be given an AUTOMATIC warning!
Images that are NOT made shareable or editable by the group are done so for a reason. Tracing, replicating or editing group references or official images is considered stealing and will NOT be tolerated!
AI Artwork and Generated submissions
If AI is used for ANY part of a submission (be it the entire image, background, or effect) it needs to be notated on the submission itself. DA now has a check box to mark if AI has been used on a submission. Members need to select this if it applies to them. If they can not find this box then they need to notate it in the comments.
AI elements will NOT EARN PLAYERS GEMSTONES.. On a related note, photo manip backgrounds are accepted but will only qualify for the 'simple background' bonus and nothing more.
Only mods are permitted to make Pool Designs
While we ADORE the enthusiasm of our members, only members of Elysiums Mod Team are permitted to submit designs for the pool. This is due to some Design Pool guidelines the group must follow in order to keep the in-game gene pools as accurate to the world lore as possible. But fear not! Members are capable of creating Custom Designs for themselves when they earn enough gemstones!
Respect our Moderators
The Elysium Mod Team is all done on a volunteer basis! Our entire team of hard working unicorn lovers work full time outside of DA and make time to roll submissions, make designs and answer member questions. That being said, we politely ask that members DO NOT DM mods to ask them questions about personal piece or to ask when something will be processed. If you have a group question it should be posted in our group discord! As soon as someone comes online they will get back to you.
If a member has an issue with another member or a question they would rather not make public they should note the group. We will then get back to you asap through the note or, if given permission, will DM you on discord!
No Power Playing or Godmodding
Using another person’s character without permission is forbidden. You cannot dictate their actions, or include them in stories even for a tiny role without first obtaining permission from the owner. Always ask before starting the piece, not afterward!
If you have permission, make sure you make a note in the artist comments. It’s good practice to consult your character’s close relatives’/friends’ players before embarking on a plot that could potentially affect the other characters’ lives! It’s always your choice what to do with your character, but be mindful of including others in your plans if it might affect them!
While other groups often 'roll' character interactions, we will not be doing so! Players are welcome to collaborate with one another so long as plots are mutually agreed upon by both parties.
Our group is comprised of moderators who volunteer their time, as well as members who make contributions at their leisure. There are no activity checks. Relax, have fun, and participate at your own pace!
Think of warnings as strikes against someone who decides to rule-break. It's a type of punishment system to discourage people who may be tempted to break the rules or try and get away with something sneaky. Bc

We truly hope that we never implement this system but for formality’s sake, this is what happens if you break a rule:
Being reported for breaking any of the above rules:
- Earns you your first warning. You will be spoken to about the offense and, if needed, it will be explained why you are receiving this warning.
- A second offense will earn you a second warning and a One Month Cooldown. During this time you will not be allowed to participate in any group activities. This includes questing or group event. You are free to continue drawing and writing about your horses but you can not participate in larger events.
- A third offense will earn you a Two Month Cooldown. During this cooldown you will be unable to participate in any group events, quests or breed any foals. You may continue drawing and writing for your horses if you wish, but submissions will also be suspended during this time. This will be a players last warning before being banned.
- A fourth offense is the last the warning and will reset in a ban from the group. Your horses are still yours to write or draw about privately but works will no longer be accepted. They will be marked in the group as deceased.
Warnings refresh at the beginning of every real life year. Bans from previous years will also be reviewed and players on the ban list may be welcomed back assuming their previous transactions were not too serious.
Members found guilty of bullying (be it over someones orientation, personal beliefs etc) is not tolerated. If found guilty of bullying you receive your final warning at that time.
