ElysiumChronicles is an ARPG (art role-playing game) in which members take control of a lead stallion (or mare) in a world once filled with magic. The tales they weave are part RNG, part player driven as they travel the world attempting to grow a herd, raise a family and just simply survive! But in this ruined landscape, mysteries abound. What happened to the world spoken of in myth and legend? Where did the magic of the herds go? Most importantly, is there a way to stop the growing blight of shadow that threatens to consume this once peaceful world?
Players wishing to join us are challenged to take on a journey through these lands with their lead character through art and literature. Submissions earn players Gemstones (our in game currency) and a chance at 2 types of random rolls: Encounters or Side Quests. What sort of challenges will your characters face? How will they overcome the dangers of this world determined to keep its residents in the shadows?
Click the "Join our Group" button on the homepage, potential members will be asked to answer the following questions to help us roll your starter character:
How did you find this group?
Would you prefer a Lead Mare or Lead Stallion? (This is essentially your starter character)
Favorite Elemental: (We will be sure to include at least ONE stallion or mare with your preferred elemental!)
Whats one feature about your starter character you would LOVE to have? (Examples: Preferring dark/light designs, a hoof, horn or tail type.)
At what age does an Elysium Unicorn begin growing their horn?
What are the two types of random rolls you can get when you submit art/lit to the group?
How do you unlock your starter unicorns magic?
Once you've answered this info, you'll receive a three designs options to choose from! These designs will be from our design pool of wild horses and from these three you will choose your starter character. Simply review those listed and let us know which one you'd like!
Once you've chosen a design, the character will be marked as yours and you're free to start writing/drawing this character! This character will function as your herds lead stallion or lead mare and function as your main character until you uncover more herd members.
Once you've started to collect a herd, feel free to alternate between other members but keep in mind that your starter character is still the leader of your herd. Large decisions that effect the entire herd should always involve your lead horse unless they are challenged for leadership! Submissions which do not include your lead character will not qualify for side quests or encounters as these are events that would require their input to resolve.
Our group is similar but also different in several ways to other Wild Horse RPG sims. We focus a little more on story building and character development. We also use D&D elements to determine the outcomes for important moments and dicey situations. (pun intended ;D)

We use a standard submission form for ALL pieces sent into the group. Players are welcome to add more info if they wish but we only require the following:

If you aren't sure, ASK! We love questions and we're happy to clear something up in the Discord if you aren't sure about something. We would rather members ask before they spend time on a submission only for us to have to ask for changes.
Remember, these are horses. While we all personify our characters to a degree, remember these are horses with hooves! Giving them human features or writing about them doing human like things aren't allowed. We do allow for unicorns to have human-ish hair styles like simple braids, dreads (which could happen naturally) or banded manes. Trimming manes and tails to be short or have a straight edge is also allowed but more intricate hairstyles are not allowed.
Remember to log items use through our shoppe. Just because you list that you're using an item in a submission doesn't mean it will be processed. We need an official confirmation in the shop to apply it. Some items can be used purely through the shoppe and don't have to be included in a submission! (Example: Players who want to heal a character with an Herbal Cure just have to submit the item in the useage thread of the shoppe. They aren't required to write about the consumption of the herb but are welcome to)
All our mods are volunteers. If it's taking some time to respond to a question/submission etc, please be patient with us! All our mods have full time jobs (some of us multiple) so we do get busy on occasion and things may take some time. With that being said do not DM mods. If you are concerned that something has been overlooked or missed, leave a query on Discord or note the group.
For larger, complicated character arcs or concepts that may push some world lore, note us for approval first! Again, we would hate for members to spend their time on something they just have to go back and change because it isn't possible.
