The best way to understand the arrest, felony charges, court order, etc is to follow the follow the table of contents below

#MyExDidit

1) Felony Charges

Elizabeth Teckenbrock was arrested on 8/16/23 at 11.19am in South Tampa.  Case #23-CF-006183-A in Hillsborough County.

She has subsequently been making light of the situation and telling people that this was because of a "bad check" or something her ex-husband did a couple of years ago. She got arrested because she had no idea, etc.

The authors researched these two claims (1) that the ex-husband was involved and (2) the event happened a "couple of years ago". Scroll below to see what we found.

Please bear in mind that a COURT decides if Elizabeth Teckenbrock is guilty or not. It is not this website's intent or place to make that judgment. This page is SOLELY dedicated to the analysis of the two claims mentioned above: (1) Ex-husband and (2) when. Scroll on...

2) Criminal Affidavit

You can click on the image to read this statement from the Affidavit: "On 2/22/23 defendant Teckenbrock opened a checking account with Seacoast Bank at the 402 S.Macdill Ave branch. At account opening the defendant deposited a $100.00 personal check from her Chase bank account. On 2/23/23 at approximately 1447 hrs defendant Teckenbrock returned to the 402 S.Macdill branch where she deposited a check for $10,000 from the same Chase checking account. On 2/24/23 defendant Teckenbrock went to the Seacoast Bank located at 400 N.Ashley Ave Suite 110 where she withdrew $8,000 in cash. On 2/27/23 defendant Teckenbrock deposited a check for $10,000 from the same Chase checking account. On 2/28/23 defendant Teckenbrock's first check for $10,000 was returned for insufficient funds and then on March 2nd the second $10,000 check was returned for insufficient funds. During the period of 2/24/23 to 3/2/23 defendant Teckenbrock conducted multiple debit card, Zelle and cashapp withdrawals in the amount of approximately $2,406.15. Seacoast Bank suffered a total loss of $10,406.15. Defendant Teckenbrock was positively identified by her Florida driver license.  The eyewitness -M.L positively identified Teckenbrock"

Based purely on the above, it appears that this account was newly opened in Feb. 2023 by Elizabeth Teckenbrock individually, so it is unclear how this matter is a "couple of years old" or "because of the ex-husband". Also interesting to see that an alleged multi-millionaire's account is unable to honor $10,000 checks...but read on...look at the next image...

3) Copy of Actual Check

The images of the checks under question are also included in the court filings, and one of them is provided here.

As is visible, the only name on the account is of Elizabeth Teckenbrock. The check was made in Feb. 2023. So again, cannot find evidence in at least these documents of ex-husband involvement or why this matter is any older than 2023.

4) Court Order For Restitution/PTI

On 10/27/23, the Hillsborough Court allowed Elizabeth Teckenbrock's entry into Florida's Pre-Trial Intervention program. Click this link to learn more about this program. Under this order (see image above), Elizabeth is:

1) Required to pay restitution of $10,406.15

2) Ordered to report for the PTI program

3) All further court proceedings are cancelled to allow defendant to complete the PTI program

Generally speaking, if the Defendant (Elizabeth Teckenbrock) does not comply with the program’s stipulations, the Defendant will be removed from the PTI & the felony case will move forward to trial

As stated before, the court will decide if Elizabeth Teckenbrock is guilty of the charges, or not. The authors do not make any such determination.
