Step 1: Watch Video
This is fake!
This is a fake video.
I uploaded a photo of myself to D-ID
I used ChatGPT to craft the words
I used ElevenLabs to clone my voice to say words I did not say
I merged it all together to make this video that is not me saying words I have never said or actually written.
Step 2: Reflect On Learning
Reflect and Discuss
How does the use of artificial intelligence tools in creating the video affect the credibility of the information presented in the video?
How does the use of AI-generated images, words, and videos affect our understanding of what is real and what is not?
How can we apply media literacy skills to assess the validity of AI-generated content?
What are the ethical implications of using AI to create realistic videos that can be used to spread false information or manipulate public opinion?
How can we use our digital literacy skills to identify when a video is created using AI tools?
How can we develop critical thinking skills to evaluate the accuracy and reliability of information presented in AI-generated videos?
How can we use our media literacy skills to identify the motives behind the creation of AI-generated videos?
In what ways can AI-generated videos be used to enhance learning experiences and promote digital literacy skills?
How can we use our digital literacy skills to distinguish between real and fake videos, especially when they are designed to look very similar?
How can we develop our media literacy skills to evaluate the impact of AI-generated videos on our society and culture?

Step 3: Small Group Conversation and Capturing Ideas
Capture Thinking and Learning
Open up the slidedeck to the left
Find slide for your breakout session
Zoom to 50%
Use the shapes or create your own or use text boxes to add your personal thinking
While discussing in a small group create a mind map of thinking and learning
sort the idea
use lines and arrows to make connections
add notes and thoughts for others to learn from you
