Use AI to assist you with tasks such as writing, debugging, researching, brainstorming, etc.
Explore AI tools that can generate or analyze multimedia content such as images, audio, video, etc.
Apply AI design thinking principles to ideate, prototype, test, and iterate on an AI solution for a real-world problem.
A variety of AI tools and resources will be explored that can be adapted to any educational context. By the end of this course, you will have a better understanding of the potential and limitations of AI in education, and how to harness its power for your own goals.
In this session, you will learn about the concept of conversational AI and its applications in various domains through Human Centered Design Framework.
You will get to know ChatGPT, an AI tool that can generate realistic and engaging text conversations based on your input.
You will see some examples of ChatGPT conversations from different domains and scenarios.
You will have a chance to try ChatGPT yourself and ask questions or give feedback while learning about generative AI.
In this session, you will learn how to use ChatGPT as a tool for productivity and education.
You will learn how to write effective prompts for ChatGPT that elicit the type of response you want.
You will see how ChatGPT can assist you with tasks such as writing, debugging, researching, brainstorming, etc.
You will bring a problem or a project you want to work on and use ChatGPT to help you solve it.
In this session, you will explore how AI can go beyond text and interact with other modalities such as images, audio, video, etc.
You will get to know some other AI tools that can generate or analyze multimedia content.
You will see some examples of how these tools can be used for artistic, educational, or entertainment purposes.
You will have a chance to try some of these tools yourself and create or discover something new.
In this session, you will apply your learning and creativity to design an AI solution for a real-world problem.
You will learn the principles of AI design thinking and how to use them to ideate, prototype, test, and iterate on an AI product or service.
You will work in small groups and be assigned a problem statement or a user need that can be addressed by AI.
You will use ChatGPT and other AI tools to design and present your solution to the rest of the class.

Workshop Level
This session is not going to spend time on what ChatGPT is and how it works. It is designed to be engaging, experimental, and to provide time for educators to practice using the tool to better understand how things work.
If you need a quick exploration of ChatGPT then(thanks A.J. Juliani for sharing these ideas via Twitter)
Watch the 60 Minutes episode on AI. It is a great primer and you'll understand this technology better than 90% of people just by watching this episode
Read the OpenAI (which powers ChatGPT) guide for educators with considerations. It is a good starting point to understand the implications on teaching and learning: https://lnkd.in/g8WXeKxa
Check out UNESCO's guide to AI Ethics - this may impact your job the most as so many ethical considerations have to take place when using AI tools
Semi-Required Action Steps Prior To Workshop
We are going to be spending a good amount of time practicing crafting prompts with ChatGPT so if you would like to participate then
[Optional] Sign-up for a ChatGPT account at chat.openai.com
If you are worried about your data, OpenAI, just updated their policy
Please introduce yourself in this slidedeck. Add a new slide and design as you wish! This will help you all stay in touch with one another after the session and learn more about each other as we hope this is a springboard for future networking and learning.
