Overview
This session will explore how artificial intelligence (AI) can be used by educational leaders to improve teaching and learning, optimize operations, and gain actionable insights for their everyday tasks. We will discuss specific examples of how AI is being used in education, and how educational leaders can get started with AI in their own schools.
Goals:
Gain foundational knowledge of generative AI and how it works
Explore potentials and limitations of AI through hands-on activities
Discuss practical implications and ethical considerations of using AI in education
Develop strategies for responsibly integrating AI into teaching and policies
Objectives: By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:
Explain the basic principles behind chatbot AI like ChatGPT
Use ChatGPT and evaluate its capabilities through hands-on interaction
Consider key ethical issues and potential biases when using AI
Brainstorm specific ways AI could assist in teaching or school policies
Create an action plan for responsibly piloting AI in their classrooms
