LOOK DEV - APPLE MATERIAL

This is the process of the apple material being developed in Unreal for our simulations and close up shots of the project. Previously they were done and re-done in substance designer, so I am aiming to get it as close as possible to the look I was able to achieve in Substance designer [pictured on the the right].
My main goal is to get the subsurface right so it doesn't look too waxy and actually like the apple material.

The apple currently with the settings of the SS Profile.
The mesh itself is a displace rounded cube, so we can hopefully use dispacement on other meshes to get a good variety.
The current lighting setup also need to be updated. I am urrently working through a couple file corruptions that happened on my drive but thankfully not too much was lost.
