[ Plasticity Theatre Troupe ]

Among PTT’s three productions, Plastic City and The Present center on the environment, and Out of The Shadow sheds light on the issues of human rights in internment camps. PTT believes that shadow theatre as a medium to deliver serious messages is more indirect comparing to plays by human actors. In addition, they found that “images” are more attractive and memorable than lectures and curriculums which can be a medium for voicing the minority groups and social issues.

The Troupe holds an open attitude toward the themes. No matter what the themes are, they insist on creating with reusable materials. They also invite the audience to visit backstage every time after the show because they think it is important to exchange ideas and communicate with the audience.

在劇團的三個作品，《Plastic City》、《The Present》、《Out of The Shadow》中，前兩齣是環境相關，第三齣是扣留營人權事件的主題。PTT 認為以影戲作為傳達嚴肅議題的媒介，不會像人戲那麼直接；也發現「畫面」也比講座、課程更能吸引人看下去跟並記得，是幫助弱勢群體、社會課題發聲的媒介。

劇團對於題材是開放的，但無論戲的主題是甚麼，他們都堅持以重複使用的材料創作。且每一次的演出都會開放後台給觀眾看，因為劇團認為這是一個跟觀眾之間重要的交流跟傳達。
