Salix x fragilis var. vitellina f. basfordiana and f. sanguinea

'Britzensis' , 'Chermesina' and many other cultivated varieties of vitellina have exceptionally shiny red or orange-red twigs. 

Salix viminalis female clone 'Gele wiedauw', after leaf fall, twigs green or yellow. In Flanders, the light-coloured twigs are usually female clones, the dark-coloured male clones.  

Salix viminalis clone 'Rode wiedauw', the young twigs turn red.

Salix x fragilis var. russeliana, annual twigs reddish-brown to red.
