Learning Intention: The aim of this lesson is to create the perspective illusion that you are looking at your shoes whilst in outer space.
View sample of artwork to be produced and think about the techniques used and the effectiveness of these techniques and chosen medium.
Firstly, take a close -up photo of your sneakers.
Print off the image in Black and White, A4 size.
On a piece of A3 paper, paint the outer space background. Use blue/navy/purple to create outer space.
Spray/flick white paint over sky to create âstarsâ. (See youtube clip from 4:40- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nQUmNielwrw&ab_channel=theartsherpa)Â
Image of Sun in corner using âhotâ colours and background in ânightâ colours using paint. Tip: Paint night colours and flick paint stars before painting sun.
On cut out photo of shoes, draw designs in black marker and paste over artwork. (You may add space rockets/wings etc to jazz up your shoes).

Using white art paper, draw spheres using oil pastels.
Examine techniques of colouring and colour blending to make planets look spherical.

Cut out planets and scatter over background before pasting.
