Year 5 & 6 Visual Arts Activities

I was lucky enough to teach Stage 3 - Year 5 & 6 on Fridays and do Visual Arts each week. In Stage 3 we taught on a 2 year cycle. All students completed an art unit every term.

We liked to link our art unit to our PBL (Project Based Learning) unit for the Term- based on our Integrated Studies focus: Science, History, Human Society & It's Environment or Geography. 

It's great in Stage 3- the last 2 years of Primary school, to start to give the students more challenging Visual Arts tasks and opportunities to try new artistic methods with various forms, as well as great ways for students to express their creativity and develop new talents.
