BLAW 3400 is part of a textbook program called “Day One Access.” The week before class begins, you should receive an e-mail from KSU University Stores (dayone@kennesaw.edu) with information regarding the pricing of your “Day One Access” items, instructions regarding how to access the digital course materials, and a personalized link to opt-out. (Please check your junk folder if the e-mail is not in your inbox.) The purpose of “Day One Access” is to ensure you have access to the digital course materials on or before the first day of class at a highly competitive rate. Everyone enrolled in the course will automatically have access to the digital course materials through the end of the Drop/Add period. Those who have not opted-out or dropped the course by the end of the Drop/Add period will receive a charge from KSU University Stores to their Owl Express student account the following week. If you opt-out before the deadline, you will be refunded, but will lose access to the book.
You may opt-out before the end of the Drop/Add period via the link in the e-mail sent to you by KSU University Stores. Once you opt-out, you should receive a confirmation e-mail. If you do not receive this e-mail, you have not successfully opted-out. If, after multiple attempts, you are unable to successfully opt-out via the link, please e-mail dayone@kennesaw.edu prior to the opt-out deadline and request to be manually opted-out. You must include your name, Student ID Number, and the course information. E-mails sent after the deadline will not be acknowledged.
If you would like to know more about “Day One Access,” please visit: https://ksustore.kennesaw.edu/textbooks/day_one_access.php
You should also login and register your digital course materials via the link in D2L before the end of the Drop/Add period. If you do not register by this date, you may temporarily lose access and an access code may be requested despite not having opted-out. If this happens, please e-mail dayone@kennesaw.edu. (Do not purchase an access code if this happens, as you will not be refunded. Please wait for a response to your e-mail.)
If you would like to know if a loose-leaf copy of the textbook is available or have any other questions or concerns, please e-mail dayone@kennesaw.edu
Note: You must have Connect Access. For link, go to D2L, Content tab, and “Connect Access” folder.
Note: In addition to the e-textbook, students are strongly encouraged to purchase a hardcopy of the textbook for use both outside the classroom when completing each reading assignment and inside the classroom for quick and easy reference during each Class Session.
Note: If you purchase only the e-textbook, you MUST have daily access via your laptop or tablet during each Class Session (cell phone use during Class Sessions is not permitted).
Note: Use of any other textbook or edition is not advisable. If you do so, you must make certain you are studying the correct chapters, topics, cases, etc.
