Regarding preparation for Class Sessions, it is expected that you will read the entire chapter before its topics are first covered during a Class Session and be able to respond when called upon and otherwise engage fully in lecture and discussion. Specifically, whether a particular chapter is scheduled to be addressed in more than one Class Session, you are expected to read the entire chapter of the textbook related to that topic before the first Class Session in which that chapter will be addressed.
In an accelerated eight-week summer semester in which each Class Session is the equivalent of one week of Class Sessions in a sixteen-week semester, you should prepare each week for both Class Sessions prior to the first Class Session because there is too little time between the week’s first and Class Sessions to effectively prepare for the second Class Session.
