User experience diagram showing the movement sequence through the revised retreat, from entry and courtyard to workshop, private spaces, and sea-facing deck.
The user experience of the revised design focuses on movement, comfort, reflection, and connection to the sea. The retreat is designed as a sequence of spaces rather than a single static object. As the user moves from the entry, through the courtyard, toward the workshop, gallery, private suite, and sea-facing deck, the experience changes through wind, light, shadow, framed views, and moments of stillness.
The revised user experience strengthens the idea of “Stillness in Motion.” Stillness is created through protected rooms, shaded spaces, and moments of reflection, while motion is created through circulation, sea breeze, changing shadows, and visual connection to the courtyard and sea. This makes the retreat more comfortable, atmospheric, and suitable for both living and creative work.
