Hardball

This year's tournament features 48 teams in six different leagues. I've organized them with traditional MLB cities in 4 leagues: NL Pioneer, NL Modern, AL Pioneer, and AL Modern. The NL Modern includes Montreal and the AL Modern includes one of the Guam teams. There are also two World leagues: East and West. Each league will play 7 rounds for a total of 49 games. Teams receive 2 points for a win and 1 point for loss. Winner stays on the field and takes over as the Home team. With this format teams are not expected to play an even number of games.

I am also choosing not to keep stats, other than W-L and Runs Scored for each team. I am tracking game scores in a Scoragami format, just to get a visual representation of the distribution of games scores.

After each league completes their Round Robin format, I will take the six league winners to face off in 6 team round robin with 5 rounds. The team with the most points in that league will be declared the champion.

All told this years tournament will feature 318 games and I'm hoping to complete by December 31st.
