Westwood had one bogey (18) and six birdies as he easily won by four strokes over Thomas Bjorn (71). Darren Clarke shot a 77. He was +1 at the turn, but shot a disastrous 41 on the back nine, including a double-bogey on 11. Tiger Woods finished last (78) with a triple bogey on 6, and a double-bogey on 17.

Els Advances

Els had one bogey and four birdies, holding off a late charging Adam Scott (3 under on the back nine) who finished at 71. Tim Clark had an ace on #8, but a double bogey on #12 and a bogey on #18 sank his chances. Colin Montgomerie finished last (75) with four bogeys in his round.

Singh Advances

Vijay Singh opened his round with three consecutive birdies at The Country Club at Mile High and cruised to victory with a five under 65 to advances to the semi-finals. Singh had 6 birdies and a bogey and was never challenged. Miguel Angel Jimenez made a charge on the back nine with four birdies on the final fives holes to finish at even par in 2nd place (70). K.J. Choi finished at 71 and Peter Appleby, struggled on the back nine to finish at 73.

Mickelson Advances

Phil Mickelson eagled the Par 5 fifth hole to take a three shot lead that he would never surrender. Mickelson finished with the lone eagle and four birdies on his way to a 5 under 67. Robert Allenby finished 3 under at 69, while Kenny Perry and Henrik Stenson each finished at even par (72).

Garcia Advances

Sergio Garcia was five under on the final six holes, including an eagle on 16, as he pulled away from the group on the back nine. Garcia shot a 63 with 5 birdies and an eagle and no bogeys. Stewart Cink shot a 4 under 66, and Scott Verplank and Chris DiMarco each finished at 68.

Poulter Advances

Ian Poulter got hot on the back nine shooting a 31 to move ahead of the group for the win. Poulter shot a 63 including 7 birdies in a bogey free round. He won by three strokes over Retief Goosen (66). David Toms (67) and Angel Cabrera (69) also were under par.

Furyk Advances

Jim Furyk had a strong front nine, pulling away from the group at 5 under, and five full strokes in front of Luke Donald. When the round was over, only Furyk was under par with a 65 (-7). His round featured 7 birdies and no bogeys. He won by eight strokes over Luke Donald (73), Mike Weir (74), and Paul Casey (80).

Mickelson Advances

Phil Mickelson earned the first spot in the match play final with a 67 at Baltus Roll GC, two strokes ahead of the field. Mickelson parred the first 10 holes, trailing Lee Westwood by one stroke. Mickelson then birdied 11, 13, and 14 to take the lead from Westwood. Mickelson was able to score par on every other hole today, and that proved to be enough. Westwood finished at 69, and despite recording five birdies, his bogeys on 3 and 7 cost him a hance to advance, thanks to Mickelson's error-free round. Ernie Els struggled for most of his round, until he birdied the final three holes to finish at 71. Vijay Singh also finished at 71, his putter failing him on multiple birdie putts.

Garcia Advances

Sergio Garcia shot par on the 1st playoff hole and celebrated as Padraig Harrington missed his par putt, giving Garcia the win. Both golfers shot two-under on their round (69), with Garcia closing on the back nine as Harrington faltered. Jim Furyk finished third (71) and Ian Poulter had a few blow-ups in his round of 74.

The Finals

We head to the Champions Course for a match play final between Phil Mickelson and Sergio Garcia to decide the Final Foursome tournament for 2021. Mickelson shot 67-67 in his two previous rounds, while Garcia shot 63-69 in his two rounds. This should be a very close match between a pair of green jacket winners at Augusta.

Mickelson Wins!

Phil Mickelson faced a daunting task, down two holes to Sergio Garcia as they started the back nine. When Garcia birdied the 10th to take a three hole lead, it got even worse. The Garcia struggled and Mickelson made a charge, winning holes 12-15 to take a one hole lead to the 16th. Garcia birdied the 16th to knot up the match. After both players played even par on the final two holes, it went to a playoff hole. Phil Mickelson made his birdie putt, and Garcia missed his. A great final match to this event! Mickelson (69) and Garcia (70) in regulation.
