These fights are played out using Legends of Boxing. All of my scorecards can be found here. I find the game easy to follow. It does involve a lot of dice rolling, but the charts are easy to use and I like the ability to create cards as I go using a utility Excel file I downloaded a few years back.
My inaugural fights in each class determined the champion. The champion goes on to fight the next challenger until he loses. All former champions then get a chance to take on the next challenger with the winner facing the current champion. All fights are 15 rounds.
My Boxing federation holds a Friday Night Fight format with one highlighted fight each week. Champions continue to fight challengers until they lose their belts. When a champion does lose, they get a second chance fight for the #1 contender, where they will take on the next challenger and the winner then faces the current champion. When challengers lose by a spit decision or majority draw, they gain another shot at the belt. If the bout ends in a draw, the two fighters face each other again. Any other loss by the challenger means they do not return.
