The shape of the "Wobble Bowl" is based on a repeating graph of a function I created in the mathematics program Maple. After establishing the functions, I transferred the design to SolidWorks, where I created 12 "rings" of the function and laser-cut them out of 1/8" MDF with a wood veneer.
To assemble the wobble bowl, I used wood glue to attach each layer to the one below it, offsetting each by an approximately 15 degree rotation. The final bowl was rubbed with oil to brighten its color.
