The aluminum picture frame was the first project using the vertical mill for my CAD and Manufacturing class. Following written instructions, I milled the frame to exact dimensions, and cut out the inset space. The final frame features small pockets on the interior of the frame for a cardboard or wooden backer to the picture to clip into place without being seen.
I also designed the C-shaped legs of the frame, which were laser-cut out of 1/4" acrylic.
