As my team worked to create a 3D model of the U-Bolt Adjustable Wheelchair that we developed for our capstone senior design project, we created many individual part files using SolidWorks. In addition to creating some of the part files, I was responsible for creating and maintaining a working SolidWorks assembly of the component parts, in order to evaluate the feasibility of the device before creating physical prototypes. The final assembly, which consists of 124 parts in 18 subassemblies, demonstrates my ability to utilize SolidWorks software at an advanced level without overdefining the complex assembly or introducing errors. My skills in large-assembly 3D modeling will assist me in my engineering career as I continue to use SolidWorks in a professional design context.
