Alma Zen Mixed Ability Yoga classes are held in the Village Hall on Tuesday mornings from 9.15 - 10.45.
Katie Worsdell (Alma Zen):
I teach Vinyasa Flow, a style of yoga that emphasises the coordination of the breath with the movement, linking one posture to another in a continuous flow. I like to call it a moving meditation. I also teach Yin Yoga, a quiet, mindful practice that brings awareness into our deep connective tissues to create more space and mobility. In a Yin yoga class we hold the postures for longer, allowing the muscles to soften, while exposing the joints to pressure. As we gradually settle into stillness we enhance our capacity to surrender becoming more resilient and receptive both in our body and mind.
