Late Registration deadline extended until 28 February. 

Unfortunately, conference dinner is sold out already. Therefore, registration is only possible for conference attendance without dinner.

Payment can be done via bank transfer or PayPal. Reduced fees for GI members and for students apply only if the respective proof is provided. Please note that “student” denotes only Bachelor, Master or Diplom students (not PhDs). More information on this will be provided during the online registration process.

Early bird fees apply until January 13, 2023. Late registration fees apply from January 14, 2023 until February 3, 2023.

After registration, each participant will receive a written confirmation of registration with a summary of the services that have been booked and an invoice will be sent to the email address provided by the participant.

The registration for participation is binding and cannot be transferred to another person. The participation fees are owed upon registration and are payable within 7 days following submission of the registration (but not later than 7 days before the starting day of the event).

Participation is not guaranteed until full payment of the registration fee is received. 

On-site registration is possible and will be charged with an extra fee of 50,00 €.

The program is subject to change. If a participant does not take part in an event or if the participant does not make use of any individual services provided, a refund of the fee is excluded.


All registered participants have access to the conference from Monday 6 to Friday 10 March, 2023. The conference fee includes Mensa lunch vouchers, snacks and drinks during the day, and public transport tickets for all days of the conference. For organizational reason, you will be asked during the registration process, on which days you plan to attend.


Cancellation and refund

If you have to cancel the registration, you get 80% back until 30 days before the start of the event.

Please note that in the case of contracts concluded between participants and third parties (for example, when booking hotel accommodation, tickets for the journey, etc.), contractual claims exist exclusively against the respective contractual partner. If cancellation costs are incurred by participants due to private additional bookings, these are to be borne by the participants themselves.

Serious occurrences, such as in particular force majeure, pandemics, labor disputes, riots, armed or terrorist conflicts, government measures or orders or restrictions that have unforeseeable consequences for the performance of services, release the participant and the organizer from their obligations to perform for the duration of the disruption and to the extent of its effect, even if they should be in default. This does not automatically terminate the contract. The participant and the organizer are obliged to notify each other of such an impediment and to adjust their obligations to the changed circumstances in good faith.

Conference Bag

The Conference Bag was produced from recycled material by persons with disabilities of “Lebenshilfe Bruchsal-Bretten e.V.”  

Name Badge

Please remember to carry it with you during all events of the conference. Access to the conference venues will be only possible with this name badge. Also it serves as you ticket for public transport in Dresden.


During registration you will receive free Mensa vouchers for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.  The costs for these are included in your conference ticket. One voucher is valid for one main dish and one drink. Should you not make use of these vouchers, please remember to return them to staff at the Info Desk. This will help to reduce unnecessary costs for the conference organizers. Catering during the Industry Day/Dresden Data Day will be provided free of charge at the venue at Sächsische Aufbaubank – Förderbank (SAB).


Are accessible only online in order to avoid printing paper. They will be published soon on this conference website and on the GI website. 

Coats & bulky bags 

Please use the facilities in the Foyer of the Faculty of Computer Science. Please note, that the conference organizers do not take any responsibility for stored items.

Photos & Videos 

For documentation purposes, photos and video recordings will be made during BTW23. This material may be used during or after the conference by the conference organizers or later by GI (print and online). During registering for the conference, you were informed about this and consented to this. Should you have questions regarding this, please contact staff at the Info Desk.
